This is Koru ~ the first of the Two Stray Cats in his birthday hat. Koru and his owners are celebrating his first birthday on August 14th ~ exactly one year after he was discovered at work, abandoned, covered in oil, very thirsty and hungry. He was only around 5 or 6 weeks old. He was named Koru which means "new beginnings" in Maori. A very fitting name for a little boy in a fur coat who got a second chance and his forever home :)
