- Welcome. I'm Melissa. I'm 29 for the third time but who's counting. I'm struggling right now with my self image. I look in the mirror and struggle to accept what I see because I heard many comments way back when I was a teen and I've struggled not to believe all those lies.
So many times in this society, we're told we need to look a certain way or have things or whatever to be valued and accepted.
But, that's not how God sees us. Outward appearances and possessions don't last, but God does. If you're struggling today to accept yourself, my heart goes out to you. I totally understand how painful that can be.
I hope whatever you read here today can be of some encouragement to you. I would encourage you to cry out to God and read His Word. He hasn't forgotten you and He isn't finished with you yet.
